I teach in diverse communities with the intention of allowing people to find themselves more fully through movement, embodied awareness and playful investigations. I believe all movement practices and cultural expressions are of equal value and I work diligently to eliminate hierarchical classifications between styles of dance and performance. I teach modern release technique, vaganova ballet with somatics, improvisation and experimental practices, choreography and theory courses: Dance and Social Justice, Performance Studies, and Compositional Methodologies.  I am the Director of the LEAP Program ( Liberal Education for Arts Professionals) and an Associate Adjunct Professor of Dance at Saint Mary's College of California, where I have been teaching since 2004. I teach open adult classes at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center in Berkeley. I teach teens and kids at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center, ACE Dance Academy and Bay Area Girls Rock Camps.
